TrinaTracker, the smart solutions provider that is part of Trina Solar, has connected a 120MW PV power generation plant in Dunhuang, Gansu province, northern China, to the grid.</p>

Trina Solar, a global leader in smart PV and energy storage solutions, has announced that the first Vertex S+ 505W (NEG18R.28) rolled off the production line at its factory in Changzhou, Jiangsu province, on January 25, marking the beginning of mass production.</p>

As part of the Vertex S+ series specifically designed for commercial and industrial rooftops, Vertex S+ 505W just made its debut in Europe at the Trina Solar booth at Genera in Spain on February 6.</p>

This updated solution includes the latest version of the Vanguard 1P, combined with recent improvements to the Smart Control System, marking a significant advance in solar tracking technology.</p>

In the three-month empirical testing period, Trina Solar’s Vertex S+ 445W and Vertex S+ 450W modules demonstrated energy yield increase of 3.09% and 2.77% compared with reference <em>p</em>-type modules. Excellent performance under low irradiance conditions was also exhibited in the tests, which are continuing.</p>

Trina Tracker, part of Trina Solar Co., Ltd., has obtained a FINAME (Machinery and Equipment Financing) code for its Vanguard 1P single axis trackers from the Brazilian National Social Development Bank ( BNDES ), guaranteeing greater financial benefits to customers and giving greater guarantee of underlining Trina's commitment to its presence and its service located and centralized in Brazil.</p>

Installation of 30MW of Trina Solar's Vertex N 700W modules for an integrated photovoltaic energy storage project in the desert region of northwest China has recently been completed. Once the plant is connected to the grid it is expected to generate 1.45 billion kWh, save 442,000 tons of standard coal as well as 1.206 million tons of CO<sub>2</sub>, and cut 232 tons of sulfur dioxide and 260 tons of nitrogen oxides.</p>
