On April 16th, 2019, Trina Solar held a signing ceremony in Yiwu with the People's Government of Yiwu and the Management Committee of Yiwu Information Optoelectronics High-tech Industrial Park. According to agreements signed, Trina Solar will establish a world’s leading production base of high-efficiency PV cells and modules in Yiwu Information Optoelectronics High-tech Industrial Park.</p>

On April 12th, Trina Solar (Changzhou) Science &amp; Technology Co. Ltd., a subsidiary of Trina Solar Co. Ltd. (“Trina Solar”), joined Guangzhou Great Power Energy &amp; Technology Co. Ltd. (“Great Power”) in a signing ceremony in Jintan County, Changzhou, Jiangsu Province. The two companies announced the founding of a Joint venture - Jiangsu Tianhui Lithium Battery Co. Ltd., a 2 GWh-capacity manufacturing company which will engage in R&amp;D, production and sales of lithium-ion batteries dedicated to energy storage systems (ESS).</p>

Trina Solar will "continue to drive growth through innovation, quicken the pace of the energy revolution and use solar to benefit all mankind", the company's CEO and chairman, Gao Jifan, has pledged.</p>

Mr Gao made the comment at the Boao Forum for Asia in Hainan province, held from March 26-29, after he had listened to the keynote address by China's Premier, Li Keqiang.</p>

At a time of so much uncertainty, the premier’s speech once again boosted confidence in growth, Mr Gao said.</p>

Trina Solar, a leading global total solutions provider for solar energy, announced its four new series of modules, to meet the diversified needs of PV applications in multiple scenarios.&nbsp;By using innovative integrated technologies, the maximal output of new series of modules has been 415 watt (415W) in mass production, representing the successful commercialization of high-output modules.</p>

A project involving Trina Solar has been selected as part of the National Key R&amp;D Programme announced by the High-Technology R&amp;D Centre of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. The project, titled “Key technology research and production-line demonstration for the industrialisation of high-efficiency homojunction n-type monocrystalline silicon bifacial solar cells”, is aimed at the research, development and industrialisation of high-efficiency n-type solar cells.</p>

On the 14^th and 15^th of March, 2019, Summit of Business Leaders from the G20 countries (B20) was held in Tokyo, Japan to focus on “Society 5.0 for SDGs”. It conducted discussions on topics such as global economy, trade &amp; investment and digitalization. Trina Solar and Alibaba attended the summit on behalf of Chinese companies.</p>
